Children of Employees Scholarship Program Recipients
Daily’s Premium Meats awarded two $1,000 scholarships to children of employees that are students graduating this year with a high school degree or equivalent.
Myrna Cancino, daughter of Daily’s Premium Meats employee Maria Angelina Ramirez, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for her accomplishments in academics, volunteerism, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Cancino graduated from Kearns High School located in Salt Lake City. During her high school career, Cancino was involved in student government as a class representative. In addition, she participated in National Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America and Key Club. She attends the University of Utah and majors in nursing.
Lisset Lopez, daughter of Daily’s Premium Meats employee Alicia Lopez, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship due to her academic, extracurricular, volunteerism and community involvement successes.
Lopez will be graduating from Hunter High School in West Valley City, Utah this year. In high school, she was involved in Key Club and Latinos in Action. Lopez plans to attend Salt Lake Community College to earn her associate’s degree.
