2017 Children of Employee Scholarships

Daily’s Premium Meats® awarded three students who are children of employees with $1,000 scholarships. The students were awarded for their achievements in academic, extracurricular, philanthropic and community activities.

This is Daily’s Premium Meats® second year offering a scholarship to children of employees to help support educational opportunities.

​Nathaniel Miller

Florence Carlton High School

Florence, Mont.


Nathaniel, child of Brian Miller, Missoula, Mont., plant controller, was involved in National Honor Society and Boy Scouts of America. In addition, he has completed several volunteer activities and worked part-time during high school. He plans to attend the University of Montana to major in ecological science and restoration.

Katherine Hanley

Kearns High School

Kearns, Utah

 

Katherine Hanley, child of Deborah Boise, Salt Lake City sales support administrator, was active on the basketball team, cheer team and helped the football team as the team manager. She volunteered at the humane society and worked part-time while attending high school. In the fall, she plans to attend Utah State University to study bio-veterinary science.

​Edward Diaz Hernandez

Taylorville High School

Taylorville, Utah

 

Edward Diaz Hernandez, child of Ana Hernandez, Salt Lake City plant production associate, participated in Math Engineering Computer Achievement club (MECA), Latinos in Action (LIA) group and worked part-time since 2016. He will be studying computer technology and engineering at the University of Utah in the fall.
